Ingredients
1 kilo of apples (peeled and weighed without cores)
500 g gelling sugar 2:1
1.5 tablespoons SALMIX® Salmiak powder "Sweet"
1 pinch of citric acid
Preparation
Cut the apples into very small pieces, mix with the preserving sugar and bring to the boil. After boiling for 4 minutes, mix in the citric acid and SALMIX® Salmiak powder "Sweet" and carry out a gelling test. Pour into clean jars. The gelling sugar can be replaced with diabetic gelling sugar for diabetics. Try the liquorice jam with other fruits too, e.g. cherries!
